Art in Dubai: art galleries
In Dubai there is an emerging activity of culture and art. Dubai becomes more popular for its main attractions, new galleries, art fairs, artists, art patrons and collectors have grown in number, like The Gulf Art Fair. Dubai has a multicultural society. The city's cultural imprint as a small, ethnically homogenous pearling community was changed with the arrival of other ethnic groups and nationals — first by the Iranians in the early 1900s, and later by Indians and Pakistanis in the 1960s. There are many exhibitions and works displayed from artists based in Dubai and elsewhere in the Middle East and from international artists.
There are two areas of Dubai with art galleries, artcafe's or art shops and they're recommended for a visit.
